Our toughest job of the whole year, keeping track of 7 teenagers :)
Who's afraid of the judges??
Not us, when they are as friendly & courteous as ours!
This year's Category II judges and their escort were
Mrs Al Briggs, Mr Scott Shelton & Mr Cecil Cliburn
We gave a power point presentation of our projects,
(Thanks again Michael Robbins for helping us with our presentation)
then took them on a tour of the town. We will not know the judges
decision until Oct. 28th at the MCB Conference in Columbia, Mo.
Category II is made up of towns with population of 310 to 645.
We are competing with nine other towns in our category.
Annapolis-South Iron, Clarksville, Fairfax, Hartville, Howardville,
Novinger, Polo, Ravenwood, & Tri-C Communities
More photos from judging day below:
Since Eagleville is known as "The Fireworks Capitol of The World"
the judges were each given a dozen long stem rockets!
Tuesday,

Enjoying the weiner roast after the work!
Adopting this portion of the highway, allows the City of Eagleville
and the Community Betterment to landscape and mow the state right-a-way.
We would appreciate your efforts to help us keep this area litter free.

Our new Welcome sign that was erected 11-05-01
The sign was made possible by Community Betterment and the N.H. Ag classes

The North Harrison Ag class who constructed the sign
with their advisor Brandon Craig.

The two Ag Classes that were involved in constructing and erecting the sign.

Community Betterment members and the N.H. Ag classes dedicating the new sign.

Community Betterment is selling souvenir stoneware for a money making project,
with the funds going to help finance our many ongoing programs.
These include our fair
"The Old Settler's Days"and our "Evenings in The Park""
(country and gospel jam sessions) and numerous other projects.
The stoneware have a great graphic of our town's name,
and our town's namesake "The Eagle".
It also includes Our motto which is "A Small Town With A Big Tomorrow!"
These graphics are on our new "Welcome" sign erected on Hwy N on the east side of town.
