January 15, 2009 in Cedar Rapids, Ia. the overnight low was -25 with a
wind chill of -40 to -50 below. The radio station Z102.9 did an experiment
that morning, where they threw a pan of water in the air & it froze before it

A Snowy Owl which spends most of it's time in the Artic regions,
has been spotted on several occasions in farm country southwest of Bethany.
