Flooding Below The Table Rock Dam

Anna Writes Friday, April 11, 2008
The following pictures are taken from the fish hatchery below the Table Rock Dam near Branson. I thought maybe some of your viewers might find them interesting. Several are taken of the dam area, and the rest are of the new Branson Landing. I've never been to the Landing but the dam is really quite a sight. These pictures were sent to us from a gentleman that comes in where Alan works. The dam was releasing 33,000 cubic feet of water per second at the time of these pictures. Little fact to compare this to, it would completely fill the Empire State Building in under 8 minutes.

As of this evening the rate of flow was raised to 44,000 cubic feet per second, needless to say many homes and business are flooded. The fish hatchery was still in tact but it may not stay that way. If you are familiar with the Kimberling City area the bridge crossing the lake, the south end of the bridge no boats can run under the bridge. I've never seen it that high!! Hope you enjoy seeing these pictures.   Anna Outhouse

The following pictures are of the new Branson Landing in Branson, Mo.
It's quite a neat place. I (Lila) was there last fall and enjoyed it very much.

Thanks Anna for the pictures!
