The NHHS Class of 1989 will be having their 20th class reunion.

Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. will be an adults only get together at Camaro's Steakhouse in Bethany and on Sunday at 12:00 noon will be a family picnic at the Eagleville Ball Park shelter. If the shelter is already in use we will meet at the Youth Livestock Building at Wyant Park. Any former classmates or teachers are invited to attend.

ABC's Good Morning America to host World Champion Horseshoe Pitcher, Alan Francis

Alan is a 1988 graduate of North Harrison, and has won the World Championship for14 years. He is the current NHPA World Horseshoe Pitching Champion.

Alan Francis and his wife Amy will be making an appearance on GOOD MORNING AMERICA, Wednesday, May 13, 2009.

During the week of May 11 through 15, the show will be holding a "Battle of the Anchors" with experts appearing live to instruct the anchor people in their respective sport or activity. The week culminates with live competition among the anchors on Friday, May 15.

The NHPA has been invited to provide "experts" in horseshoe pitching. We are sending the very best! Alan and Amy will be making the trip to New York City courtesy of ABC, along with NHPA 2nd Vice President, Tina Hawkins, to promote the National Horseshoe Pitchers Association on national television.

To be held in the afternoon at the Community Room in Eagleville
The community room is located just north of the fire station. All '59 graduates,
anyone that attended school in that class and friends are invited.


You may not have seen some of these "kids" for 50 years or longer! Can you tell me
who they are? The prize will be: The honor of being the smartest visitor to the web page!

at the Big Time Cinema in Bethany. Approx. 50 people enjoyed the movie "Bolt". We
appreciate the Moms, Dads or Grandmas & Grandpas bringing the children down.

Excitement on Eagleville's I-35 exit ramp Sunday afternoon!
A car on fire, and close to one of our businesses....Fireworks no less!
Our great volunteer firemen were on the scene very quickly and kept
the fire from getting out of control & spreading to the nearby grass.
Thankfully no one was hurt in the fire.   Thanks Tina Gilliland for the photo.


Friday, February, 27, 2009 - 6:00 p.m. - Last Home Game For The Shamrocks This Season
They will be playing Grundy County. There will be Senior Recognition with the Senior players
and their parents before each game. ~ The Eagleville First Christian Church will host "5th Quarter"
following the game and invites all 6-12th graders to attend. Enjoy pizza hot from the oven, ping pong,
Wii, karaoke, board games and other fun stuff, approximately 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Wyat Gibson & Kaitlyn Polley were crowned Homecoming King & Queen

The FBLA Chapter's community service project this year is to gather personal hygiene items to send to the Missouri Guard's Agriculture Development Team ll in Afghanistan.

This unique team of men & women is made up entirely of Missouri National Guard & Missouri Air National Guard members. Their role in Afghanistan is to work with the citizens there to help them develop & improve their agricultural skills to be more productive.

Items that the group needs include: Soap (bar or liquid), Shampoo, Sunscreen, Bug guard, Kleenex, Deodorant, Lip Balm w/sunscreen, Hand and/or body lotion, Antibacterial hand gel or wipes, and Toothpaste/Toothbrushes. No Aerosol Cans ~ The chapter could also use monetary donations to help offset the cost of shipping the items overseas.

Donated items can be brought to the Homecoming game (Friday, Feb. 6th) A banner will be available for people, who donate, to sign and send their appreciation to the soldiers. ~ Items may also be dropped off at the high school office if you can't make it to the game.

The Eagleville Christian Church will host "5th Quarter" following the basketball game.
Stop by for food and fun. They will have games and stuff, 8:45 p.m. to midnight!
This is for kids, 6th grade thru 12 grade.
(Remember they have moved to the new building, about two miles south of town on Highway 69.)

The Church building is being torn down by the Amish from near Modena, Mo.
The lumber will be used to build a school for the Amish children in their community.
The church traces it's history from the early part of the last century.

But.......We have a beautiful new church! Just south of town.
We will have to fill it with lots of new memories....And we will.
