CamTrakker imprints time and date on every photo (and lets you select among six delay options and three operation mode options). Before activating CamTrakker you choose day-only, night-only or 24 hr. operation. You also select among six delay options from 20 seconds to 45 minutes (this feature reduces the chance of to many photos of the same deer). CamTrakker employs a passive infrared motion detector, which detects "heat-in-motion" within a conical area. Once triggered, the 35mm camera takes a photo.
The 2001 CamTrakker features the Samsung Evoca 70SE weatherproof autofocus 35mm camera. It has an exceptional lens from Schneider-Kreuznach, perhaps the best lens maker in the world.
The new battery system allows the Camtrakker to go 45 to 60 days on one set of four alkaline "C" batteries! No more expensive Lithium batteries!!
It is camouflaged with NaturalGear, the most versatile camo pattern available.
The camera uses 35mm film from 100 to 3200 ISO. It has a metal foil flash extender built in that extends the flash range out to 30 ft. The flash & camera is powered with four "C" batteries. It's Locking Flange secures cover, making unit tamper proof (when used with cable lock or padlocks which are not included). It has a day/night sensor, sound-dampening foam to minimize noise and to protect camera, a weather proof housing cover, and a FilmCheck viewing window which lets you see the film counter without removing the lid or locking flange.
It has a Test/aiming light (with Velcro cover), an external on/off switch that lets you aim or move unit without inadvertently triggering a photo, and a digital processor (the brain) inside the CamTrakker that runs all functions.
CamTrakker is easy to use by attaching the fully enclosed, weatherproof unit to a tree using bungee cord, wire, rope etc....... Aim the camera using the aiming light.......Engage camera, replace lid, affix and secure Locking Flange. Then come back in a few days to get your film, have it processed and be amazed at what you have "caught".
We have gotten several deer, (we now know what tree we are going to put our tree stand in come deer season), coyotes, raccoons, wild turkeys and are anxiously waiting to get a bobcat.
