      50th Anniversary - June 12, 2005

      Harold D. & Joyce E. (Brown) Smith
      Blythedale, Mo. celebrated their 50th
      Anniversary June 12, 2005. They were
      married at the Blythedale Christian Church.

      Harold & Joyce both graduated from NWMSU.
      Then Harold earned a master's degree from
      Northern Colorado University, then served in
      the Korean War. They both taught in area
      schools. Harold retired as superintendent for
      North Harrison & Joyce taught music and
      business and retired from South Harrison.

      Their children & grandchildren are: Jeff and
      Gina Smith, Maryville - Ron & Michelle Smith
      & children Isabel & Sophia from Louisville, Ky.
      Julie & Gary Lupfer & sons Jared & Tyler,
      McFall, Mo. - Robert & Alesha Smith and
      children Zane & Sadie, Lebanon, Mo.

      The couple celebrated with a luncheon
      reception at their home in Blythedale, Mo.
      Congratulations Harold & Joyce!

             
      90th Birthday Celebration ~ May 14, 2005

      Vaundena Snipes, formerly of Eagleville,
      but now living in Bethany, celebrated
      her 90th birthday with family & friends
      at the Eastwood Terrace's Community
      Room in Bethany, Mo., on Saturday
      May 14, 2005. Shown with Vaundena
      are her son & daughter-in-law

      World Horseshoe Champion For The 10th Time!
      August 7, 2004
      UPDATE: July 30, 2005 - Bakersfield, CA.
      Alan won for the 11th time with a perfect game! Congratulations Alan!!

       

       

       

       


      Alan Francis, a Blythedale, Mo. native, tied a
      world record by winning his 10th Men's World
      Horseshoe title Aug. 7, 2004 in Pocatello, Idaho.
      Alan, his wife Amy and their son Alex now live in
      Defiance, Ohio. He completed the championship
      with a 22-1 record. Alan matched the record of
      Ted Allen, who won his tenth world title in 1959.
      He won the championship game 40-1 with 30
      ringers in 32 shoes.   Alan is the son of
      Larry & Joyce (Hart) Francis of Blythedale.

      Amy Francis finished 7th in the Womens
      Division.  Congratulations to you both!!

                
    75th Birthday Celebration - February 2, 2004
    Wayne Perkins celebrated his
    75th birthday with a reception and
    dance at the Eagleville Community
    Room the night of January 31, 2004.

    The Reception was hosted by his children:
    Greg & Donna Perkins - Kansas City, Mo.
    Johnny & Pam Wagnor - Reasoner, Ia.
    Don & Jan DePriest - St. Joseph, Mo.
    And Dennis Perkins - Eagleville, Mo.

    Wayne has nine Grandchildren
    and four Great Grandchildren.

      50th Anniversary - May 24, 2003
      Helen Marie King & Virgil L. Stevens
      were married May 24, 1953 in the
      Mt Moriah, Mo. Methodist Church
      by Rev. Arthur Davis.

      They spent 2 years in the military and
      2 years on a farm east of Ridgeway, Mo.
      In 1957 they moved to the present
      farm near Blythedale where they still reside.

      Their 50th Anniversary celebration
      was held May 25, 2003 at the
      Blythedale Community Room, hosted
      by their three children: Theresa (Terri)
      & Lester Johns, Bethany, Mo.
      Rosetta & husband Douglas Waychus
      of Mason City, Ia. and Doug Stevens,
      Cainsville, Mo.   They have 8 grandchildren.

        50th Anniversary September 7, 2002

        Lynn & Juanita (Young) Poush
        Bethany, Mo., celebrated their 50th
        Anniversary Sept. 7, 2002. They were
        married in the United Methodist Church
        In Eagleville, Mo.

        They lived in Eagleville several years,
        then moved to Bethany, Mo. in 1964.
        Lynn retired from the Mo. State Highway,
        and Juanita from the City of Bethany.

        They are the parents of two children.
        Connie Bishop of Des Moines, Ia.
        And Rick Poush of Unionville, Mo.
        There are three grandchildren.

               
        50th Anniversary June 12, 2002

        Ray Jr. and Genie (Gillespie) Bowen
        Bethany, Mo., celebrated their 50th
        Anniversary June 22, 2002. They were
        married at The Castle, Inspiration
        Point, near Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

        They lived in the rural Blythedale area
        for 45 years. In 1997, Ray Jr. retired
        from farming & Genie from
        the U.S. Postal Service.

        They are the parents of four children.
        Becky Hendren, Brenda Hamilton,
        Alicia Craig and Greg Bowen
        They have nine grandchildren,
        four step-grandchildren
        and four step-great grandchildren.

               
        Volunteer Honored - July, 2002

        Joyce (Brown) Smith,
        Blythedale, Missouri
        has been named the 2002 Missouri Health
        Care Association District 2 Adult Volunteer
        of the Year. Joyce volunteers at Crestview
        Home Inc. in Bethany, Mo.  Joyce has
        volunteered 16 hours a month for 8 years,
        being generous with her time and musical
        talents. She also heads up the Crestview
        quilt show, fresh flower show and the
        yearly talent show. Involves her church
        in the monthly birthday parties once a
        year. She recruits children from her church
        and the schools to entertain the residents.
        Something special she does is to give each
        resident a birthday card on their birthday.
        These are just a few of the things she does
        for Crestview and it's residents!

        Joyce is very worthy of this award!!

                        
        40th Anniversary

        Roger and Pat (Rinehart) Gibson
        of rural Ridgeway, Mo. celebrated their
        40th Anniversary on April 22, 2002.

        They were married at the Ridgeway
        Christian Church on Easter Sunday
        April 22,1962 by Rev. Claude Breidenthal.

        They are the parents of three children:
        Jeff Gibson and wife Lisa,
        Shelly Kinne and husband Keith,
        and Jason Gibson and wife Lori,
        all of the Eagleville area.

        They have nine grandchildren: Kara,
        Wyat, Garren, Abbe and Kiley Gibson
        and Zach, Shane, Sadie & Jeremy Kinne.

               
        Celebrating Fifty Years With The Citizens Bank

        Wilma Jean (Gillespie) Wilson,
        Blythedale, Missouri
        celebrating fifty years with the
        Citizens Bank of Blythedale,
        Eagleville, and Ridgeway, Mo.

        March 15, 1952 - March 15, 2002

        Wilma Jean started her career in the bank
        at Blythedale, and has been the manager
        of the Eagleville facility for many years.
        The Eagleville facility opened 12-12-73.

        Georgia was 91 on Jan. 26, 2002

        Georgia had celebrated
        with 16 guests on her birthday.

        Lyle and Arloa Edwards of Ridgeway, Mo.,
        celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary
        Saturday, Janurary. 12, 2002

        They were married by Rev. O.D. Hedges
        in Martinsville, Mo., on Jan. 12, 1952.

        Their children are:
        Peggy & Allen Craig, Eagleville, Mo.,
        Don & Susan Edwards, Lawson, Mo.,
        and Ron Edwards, Savage. Mn.
        They have nine grandchildren,
        and seven great-grandchildren.

        An April 21, 2002 reception
        is being planned.

        Mr & Mrs Willie L. Tull of Eagleville, Mo.,
        celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary
        Sunday, Janurary 6, 2002

        They were married at Afton, Iowa,
        in the Assembly of God Church
        with Pastor Dale Harmon officiating.

        Their children are:
        Randy and wife Pam, Sedalia, Mo.,
        Douglas and wife Carol, Hatfield, Mo.,
        Larry & wife Susie, Gallatin, Mo.,
        Denise and husband Tyrone Briner
        of Eagleville, Mo.
        They have seven grandchildren,
        seven great-grandchildren
        and several step grandchildren.

        celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary
        Saturday, June 1, 2001.

        They were married in Albany, Missouri
        With Rev. Judah officiating.

        Their daughter Barbara and husband
        Dave Callaway live in Bethany, Mo.

        Bill & Beverly have three grandchildren.
